Well, on Wednesday, I was just having too many contractions for being 31 weeks along, and with twins that is never a good thing. So I found myself that afternoon at the doctor's office and he sent me to the hospital labor & delivery so I could be monitored. Sure enough, my contractions were coming about every 2-7 minutes. Not good. So they gave me a shot to stop the contractions and a steroid shot to help the babies' lungs develop quicker in case they have to be delivered premature. The shot seemed to work well and after about an hour the contractions slowed to 1 every 30 minutes. So I was released that night at about 8:30, and sent home with a prescription to take if I get frequent contractions coming back. The bad thing with that prescription is that it makes my heart race and my body tremble, so it's pretty miserable, but it is better than going into premature labor!! The doctor told me to take it only if I need it, because the more I take it, they more it loses it's effectiveness.
I saw my doctor yesterday for a 2nd steroid shot and he checked me and the good news is I haven't dialated at all! I think he was quite pleasantly surprised. He was sure he would be putting me on bed rest, but he said for now to just take it very easy and rest as much as I can and be wise. I think I can handle that, I hope. Just as long as I can get my two older children to cooperate and not put a bean in their nose while I'm taking a nap! Oh yea, that's my next post.....

I know we are a bit out of the way, but if you need any help... please call me. You know you might get to a point where you call everyone and think... oh no, no one is home!!! Just know I'm here too. I know you have a great family (and it looks like a great ward) there to help... but just so you know.
I'm planning on being there next Saturday! I want to see a pregnant mommy still! Then again, it would be fun to see two baby girls!
