Good-bye to Russell's car

Well, as you know, now that we will soon be a family of six, we had to take the plunge and do the inevitable- buy a minivan!! So, that meant that one of our cars had to go!! Well, Russ listed his honda for sale Tuesday night on a news station's website and within 5 min our phone was ringing off the hook! The first caller was this guy who was looking for a honda for his 16 year old daughter and said he'd be right there to look at it. He arrived at about 10:40 pm, took it for a test drive and inspected it and within the hour had written us a check for it! Needless to say, we were pretty shocked that it went so fast! The next day we met him and his wife and they drove off in it, with us feeling pretty bitter-sweet . That honda had been Russ's car since he got of his mission 10 years ago, he had it in college and it's been an awesome commuter car for him.

Well, two days later, Russ's uncle, who is a car dealer, bid and won on a minivan for us and it's in the process of being shipped here from Chicago! We should pick it up sometime this week. We are so excited. Winning the bid and getting the minivan so quickly after selling Russ's car has made us not as sad! We are so thankful for Russ's uncle who has hunted and searched for us for a few weeks to find just the right minivan for us and still stay within our budget! I'll post pics of the new minivan once we get it. I know the kids are going to love it, and the best thing.... it has automatic power sliding doors on the sides!!
