Tonight I attended an Emergency Preparedness class put on my by relief society. I'm so glad that I went. I'm so excited to help my family become more prepared in case of an emergency. We were challenged tonight to purchase one thing a month this year to help our families become better prepared. I made January's purchase tonight on my way home from the church house. Macey's grocery store is having a great sale right now on food storage and since I had to go there tonight to pick up some groceries, I purchased a 5 gallon water storage container while I was there. Here's my next item that I want to purchase:
It's a 55 gallon water drum. It's on sale right now at Macey's for $39.99. I've searched the internet tonight and have found it listed for around $75 to $100. The sale ends on Jan. 27th, so I might be buying February's purchase a few days early! I'm so excited to help my family be better prepared this year for any emergencies. I'll keep you posted on our progress!!

We have 4 of those 55 gallon water barrels and my husband wants more!! I thought having 4 was good, because it double the recommended amount for our family.
